Dewsbury Irish national League club "The Nash" was established by the Irish immigrants who came together in Dewsbury, many of those original families still frequent the club as well as many friends collected along the way. The club has three large multifunctional spaces, the lounge is a relaxed area with sky sports available, the Games room with full size snooker table & dart board and the newly refurbished function room, with pool table, kitchen, private bar and toilets. These rooms are frequently used for social gatherings, parties and funeral teas.
The Nash is home to Dewsbury Celtic ARLFC, originally formed in 1879 as Dewsbury Shamrocks. The club became a prominent force in amateur rugby league, particularly after reforming in the post WWII era, winning numerous local and cup trophies.
Today, we continue to keep these great community and rugby league ties and the Nash is hub to hundreds of junior and senior players.
