Following the recent establishment of a new committee and the continuous efforts to stabilise the club, the Nash is now launching a heritage project.
The heritage project will explore and celebrate the Irish roots of the club, initially focusing on the founding of the club and its first committee in 1897. The project aims to highlight the men and families who helped establish the club and build its early foundations within the local community.
With assistance from family members, research has already begun into the background of John Murphy.
The project is now seeking help to create a clearer understanding of the lives, backgrounds and family history of the other members of the original committee, including John Murphy.
We are inviting relatives, descendants, local historians, and anyone with knowledge, photographs, documents, stories or information relating to the earl years of the Nash to get in touch and assist with this important work in preserving the club’s heritage.
